“The initial idea for this sculptural planter was to embrace a twisting form, but as we started working on mockups we modified the design to a more angular/faceted design. Once the design was almost complete, we realized that the flat surfaces at the top of the planter would be a great area to showcase a custom laser cut design. To balance the hard lines of the angular design I chose a more organic curving pattern for the laser cutting, modeled after a series of designs by American sculptor Elizabeth Turk.” -Eric Simonsen, Designer.
