Project Overview
This multifaceted complex is set to house a diversity of programs and supporting organizations for students, faculty, and staff including a library, offices, and computer labs. The last renovation of this building in 2014, includes over 16,000 square feet of Blue Gray Interlocking Reveal Panels, flanked by 10-foot sheets of glass, swathed facade and banding on the buildings massing. Why Zinc is an excellent material for this kind of projects? Zinc is an excellent design option for facades, roofing, and cladding due to its life expectancy and ability to resist weathering. Those are only a few of the benefits of this metal that is increasing the popularity of zinc cladding in architecture. Depending on the environment, the average life expectancy of a zinc roof is around 100 years, while a wall can last as long as 150 years.
